Can you use inhalers (like Symbicort) to treat lung fibrosis?
I received this question on the channel about using Symbicort to treat lung fibrosis. Inhalers are not a treatment for pulmonary fibrosis (scarring of the lungs) but they can help if there is also some narrowing in the airways. Sometimes fibrosis does not exist on its own and other lung conditions such as COPD may also be present. In those situations, inhalers may help somewhat, but they are not a treatment for fibrosis particularly.
